Project Summary: The first phase of the Hardy Street Road Improvement Project is under way and involves the installation of vertical granite curbing and a cement concrete sidewalk on the westerly side of Hardy Street from Old Connecticut Path to Debra Lane with a crosswalk at that intersection. The second phase of this project will include the installation of Sloped granite curb edging on the westerly side of Hardy Street from Debra Lane to Concord Street. The third and final phase of this project will involve the resurfacing and the installation of new traffic markings on Hardy Street. The intent of this project is to narrow the paved width of Hardy Street to enhance the residential character of the roadway to promote traffic calming. The plan is to carry out the phases of this project as available funding allows within a maximum of three construction seasons.
