Route 30 at Beacon Street Intersection Improvement Project

Project Summary: Several improvements are scheduled to be made to the signalized intersection at Route 30 and Beacon Street. These included traffic controller upgrades, emergency vehicle pre-empt enhancements, and coordinating the operation of this intersection with the existing signalized intersections along Route 30. New pedestrian curb ramps and crosswalks will also be added and meet ADA compliant standards.

Project Details:

Construction Project Updates Through the month of October, the intersection will be milled and an asphalt overlay will be in place. Ornamental traffic signals have been ordered, and are waiting to be fabricated. Depending on when the signals are completed and delivered to the site, they will be installed later this fall or the early part of Spring of 2009.
